Where's a good place besides Project Gutenberg to find free ebooks?

I'm looking for books of poetry (love and nature specifically), legends, folk-lore, fairy tales, and anything that has to do with history. I'd prefer really old manuscripts or really just anything that's old and out of date, but new and somewhat updated is fine too.

Any help is appreciated, and thank you for your time! :]

Up-to-date, but explains a very puzzling page of history. Gospel Enigma.

I like PlanetPDF because all the e-books are nicely formatted (easier to read).

If you're into ancient fairy tales and myths, you should make certain to read the Mabinogian (Welsh myths). Included is very early King Arthur stories (pre-dating Lancelot and Merlin), plus many pre-Christian myths. There *may* be one free online. If there is, it is probably translated by Lady Guest. (I believe that she is the first person to translate them into English.)

Try the Internet Archive http://www.archive.org – it's got full-page scans of all sorts of weird and wonderful obscure texts, not to mention various other resources (including moving pictures and audio).

You do know that Project Gutenberg is the largest collection of free 'n' legal etext online, right?

And, of course, don't forget your friendly neighborhood librarian, who's always willing to help! (Seriously, most people overlook the library as the best resource there is. Just ask the Information Desk if they could recommend a few books dealing with folklore, and they'll be more than willing to do so – that's what they're for!). Learn to love your librarians!

Try World Wide School. Like Project Guttenberg, as long as what you're looking for is in the public domain they'll be a good place to check.
